Phorbol esters and adenosine affect the readily releasable neurotransmitter pool by different mechanisms at amphibian motor nerve endings
J Physiol Searl and Silinsky 553: 445

A discussion of the validity of binomial analysis as applied to evoked transmitter release

The purpose of this supplemental section is to provide further justification and discussion for the use of binomial statistics and trains of high frequency nerve-stimulation in this study. It is placed as a separate supplement as its presence in the main body of the text would detract from what is the primary interest of the paper on the actions and interactions of phorbol esters and adenosine.
