Physiology in Press
The Journal of Physiology Physiology in Press initiative is an exciting addition to normal online publishing of papers. In partnership with HighWire Press, all accepted papers will be published online in manuscript form within a couple of days of acceptance. This will reduce publication delays by as much as 8 weeks for Rapid Reports and 12 weeks for Research Papers.
Physiology in Press articles will have been accepted for publication in The Journal of Physiology but will not have been copy edited. Therefore there may be differences between this and the final online or print version.
All Physiology in Press articles are citable, searchable in PubMed, and will establish the publication date for all papers. This date will appear on all papers, together with the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), a unique identifier that remains with the paper through to it appearing in final form with issue and page details, in both electronic and printed format.
Once the paper is published in print and online, the Physiology in Press article will be replaced by the final version.
